Heavy Metal Tour® 2025 CTE Introduction Meeting

Join Us for the 2025 Trades of Tomorrow Heavy Metal Tour® Reveal!

The Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (CWIMA) is thrilled to announce the upcoming Heavy Metal Tour (HMT), scheduled for October 7-9, 2025. Since its inception in 2012, the HMT has engaged over 48,000 8th-grade students and educators from the greater Central Wisconsin region, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore local manufacturing careers firsthand. For 2025, CWIMA is enhancing the event based on feedback from a task force committee, focusing on improving transportation logistics and scheduling to ensure broader participation from students and local businesses. Participants will receive valuable resources before the tour, which includes visits to two manufacturing plants, interactions with company representatives, and a chance to learn about Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings at a local high school. Educators are also invited to join a virtual HMT Information Session on April 7, 2025, to share insights and help shape the event for maximum impact.
